Preliminary Rulemaking Activity:
In regards to California State University, this law amends the Higher Education Employer-Employee Relations Act (HEERA) by requiring written notification to the parties of a determination as to whether the Legislature fails to fully fund a Memorandum of Understanding or take requisite curative action.
At the October 8, 2026, public meeting, the Board authorized a subcommittee to draft proposed regulatory text regarding Assembly Bill 1818. The new law takes effect January 1, 2027.
