Following the filing of an appeal from the dismissal of a severance petition for lack of jurisdiction given the existence of local rules that could accomplish the same severance purpose, the Board granted the parties’ withdrawal request due to resolution of the dispute through an arbitration process that resulted in the petitioned-for severance, finding that such disposition was in the best interests of the parties and consistent with the purposes of the MMBA.
